Screen Australia supports Wilding Productions and Visitor.Vision’s VR project Canopy: Love Letters To Our Trees in their latest development funding round. Canopy: Love Letters To Our Trees is an interactive VR documentary that uses scientific data to explore the complex relationship between humans and the natural world. By combining live data with beautiful graphic imaginings of Melbourne’s urban forest, this project creates a unique opportunity for urban dwellers to experience the effects of climate change from the point of view of their city’s trees. Canopy: Love Letters To Our Trees breaks the mould of traditional science and natural history documentary filmmaking by using hard scientific data to create an immersive experience with real world outcomes.
